Structural BIM/cad Designer

ASDG, LLC is currently seeking a full time Structural BIM/CAD designer to perform structural building modeling and prepare construction drawings for new building and renovation projects for various markets including commercial, municipal, education, and health care.  Projects will range in size from small to over $80M.  Ideal candidates will be motivated self-starters with good communication skills.  This position offers flexible hours, a competitive salary based on level of experience, paid health insurance plan, retirement plan with company match, and generous paid time off.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural modeling and prepare construction drawings for building projects using Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD software.
  • Interface with architectural clients and contractors.
  • Collaborate with engineering staff.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Computer Aided Drafting, Building Information Modeling, Architectural Technology, or similar.
  • All experience levels considered. 5 years minimum preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.

Structural Engineer

ASDG, LLC is currently seeking a full time Structural Engineer to design new building and renovation projects for various markets including commercial, municipal, education, and health care.  Projects will range in size from small to over $80M.  Ideal candidates will be motivated self-starters with good communication skills.  This position offers flexible hours, a competitive salary based on level of experience, paid health insurance plan, retirement plan with company match, and generous paid time off.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural calculations for steel, concrete, reinforced masonry, and wood building components.
  • Interface with architectural clients and contractors.
  • Prepare structural specification sections.
  • Review fabrication and shop drawings.
  • Collaborate with CAD/BIM staff to develop building models and construction drawings.
  • Perform site visits to observe construction.

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
  • All experience levels considered. 5 years minimum preferred.
  • PE and/or SE certification preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.
  • Attention to detail.
